
It’s the most wonderful time of year, March Madness. We get to see how many bracket-busting upsets there are, or it’s like last year, and the tournament is mostly chalk while NIL and the transfer portal are once again blamed for a lack of Cinderella.
For the locals, the UConn men’s basketball team will attempt to win their third national championship in four seasons. The Huskies are fresh off a second place regular season finish in the Big East, and a 72-52 blowout loss to St. John’s in the Big East tournament championship game. We had multiple DoaR staffers at MSG for the Big East title game, witnessing the Red Storm’s beat down. The good news for UConn is that Dan Hurley and the Huskies play their best against non-conference opponents, especially in the NCAA tournament. Hurley will be the first to tell you that. In fact he did last weekend. Let’s see if national title number seven makes its way to Storrs.
